One of my pet projects Delia Derbyshire Day is now able to announce its next event in Manchester – Delia Derbyshire Day 2016 which will take place at the new HOME Manchester on SUNDAY 17 January 2016.
The focus for the next DD Day will be film/visual and sound/music as two new donations to the Delia Derbyshire archive are films that Delia provided the music and sound for and one of them is not even electronic music (though heavily processed electronically).
It’s still early days but our first fundraising success comes thanks to The Granada Foundation. I will be project managing the event and also designing and delivering hands on electronic music workshops for families at HOME on DD Day 2016 with fellow Delia Darling Daniel Weaver. So lot’s more Delia-n fun in store!
