I am very pleased that Manchester Music Hub has taken on my Delia Derbyshire inspired Music Technology courses as a ‘New Initiative’ for the academic year 2015-2016.

This means that we can offer our refined 5 week courses for upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 & 6) in up to 30 primary schools in the Greater Manchester area with a wonderful 50% subsidy making Music Tech in schools more accessible and available to more kids – how wonderful in my sometimes humble opinion. The introduction to electronic music courses will continue to be delivered in partnership with One Education Music who have supported these courses from their pilot stage back in 2013.

Here are some lovely responses from courses that are taking place this year so far:

“The kids really loved the session last week”

“I wish I could do this everyday”

“Music Tech forever!”

“I am going to learn to be an electronic music composer”

“This is the most writing and listening we have seen him do ever!”

It is an electronic music course but also covers and involves history, maths, literacy, general ICT with a positive language approach. If you happen to work at, know of, or send your offspring to a primary school in the Greater Manchester that you think would welcome our creative and technically empowering course, do signpost them to us!
