I wanted to share this wonderful film made by schoolchildren in Manchester. In my capacity with electronic music heritage charity Delia Derbyshire Day, we helped the children be the first to tell the world about the late great electronic music composer who they were inspired by. In a project supported by The Heritage Lottery Fund, we worked with 45 children aged 8-11 using the work, working methods and archive of Delia Derbyshire to educate and inspire.

They also produced their own experimental electronic music which provides the soundtrack to the film too.

It was a joy to go on an 8 week journey with the kids and see them develop in confidence, knowledge and skills.
One girl said she is now going to make an album titled “The album to end all albums.”

I hope you enjoy this educational production!
